A spin-off of “Kim’s Convenience,” “Strays” follows Shannon Ross as leaves Handy Car Rental in Toronto to focus on a new career in Hamilton as the executive director of an animal shelter. Shannon continues to be upbeat and a people-pleaser, despite the eclectic staff and many missteps. Her attempts to be friends with everyone can lead to awkward exchanges, but the entire crew has the best interests of the animals at heart. The cast also includes Frank Cox-O’Connell, Tina Jung, Nikki Duval, Kevin Vidal and Tony Nappo.
